18A- Create a Customer Avatar

My customer avatar would be a middle aged artist who utilizes ink pen for their artwork often. They would most likely live a frugal artist lifestyle (Artists don't normally make a lot of money) driving a less than luxury car, and just scraping by. They most likely express themselves through colorful hair and clothing, and have cool sense of style. I find artists in general to be pretty cool, laid back people. My ideal customer would use their free time drawing, or using other mediums to make other pieces. I feel I have quite a bit in common with these customer because I too enjoy doing art on my free time. I don't think these similarities are a coincidence because I enjoy the same things these people do. These specific group would be the most beneficial because they would find the most out of my product because of their career and/or hobby.

  1. Hi Skylar! This picture definitely represents the ideal costumer for you entrepreneurial idea! I really liked this assignment because it allowed us to come to the realization that the unmet need we identified is apparent to us because we have experienced it in our day to day life. You enjoy drawing therefore you experience the unmet need and you came up with a solution so you don't have to deal with it anymore. One suggestion I have is to include pictures throughout this post so that the reader can visualize the lifestyle of your customer avatar better. Great job!

  2. Hi Skylar,

Well done with your avatar! I like how you picked up on the fact that most artists have a lower income, as this is something that will be important when deciding how much you can charge for your product. One thing that I found interesting was that you didn't make any mention of a passion for being environmentally conscious, as I thought from previous blog posts that that was one of the main character traits of your target demographic. I believe that trait will be key to making this product a success. Otherwise, great job and keep up the great work!

  4. Hey Skylar, great job on your post! It really does make me realize how usually artist tend to express their happiness in different ways than others and I can truly say that is pretty cool! For some people it becomes difficult to express their feelings. These artist will seem to appreciate a product like yours coming into the market as it is more of an investment into their happiness rather than a random purchase. This will guarantee there to be a sort of demand for this product from the artist. Great job!

  5. Hi Skylar. You really dug deep into what your ideal customer avatar would be like, and the picture you included attracts the attention of anyone who visits your blog. Also, I agree that it isn't a coincidence that you share a lot of traits with this model avatar customer, as most people who try and create change would be directly affected by it. You want to create a change for artists because you enjoy art, and thus, you possess similar characteristics. Nice work.
